This is one among the many important and beautiful Ganesh Temples in the country. It is believed that if one offers Arugampul Malai, which is a type of grass that is desired by Lord Ganesh and offers prayers here, his or her wishes will come true.
This temple is located near Chennai. The Main deity here is Lord Rama. Lord Hanuman or Anjaneyar is in a standing posture facing North. Whole coconuts without the outer layer being peeled off are tied together as a garland and offered here.

This temple is situated at the base of a hillock and people throng in thousands on Pournami (Full Moon) Day to walk around the hill. There are several Shiva Lingams and Sitthar Samathis around the hill and it is believed that if one walks around the hill one can get the whole hearted blessings of the Almighty.
